Public Safety Information from Your Local American Red Cross

Emergency Management is more than just a one agency job. The nature of emergency management is the coordination of multiple agencies during an emergency situation. However, there is coordination with those agencies at all times during the disaster life-cycle. Preparedness, Response, Recovery, and Mitigation.

The American Red Cross is a key organization in all aspects of the disaster life-cycle, and are used as a clearinghouse for disaster preparedness information. All information obtained through the American Red Cross is the result of a joint effort between the Federal Emergency Management Agency, and the American Red Cross.

We invite you to look at all the brochures available online, and print them out. Discuss them with your family, because a prepared family is a safe family.

Remember, in many disasters there is little time to prepare once a notice has been given. Please educate yourselves now, to know what to do when a disaster situation exists.
